 Outstanding Early Childhood Educators

Cambridgeport Children's Center, "Tot Lot,” is seeking part time, (20-30 hrs) afternoon preschool and toddler teachers. All applicants must be qualified through the Department of Early Education and Care and meet NAEYC teacher qualifications or in the process of meeting the qualifications.

All of our teachers share a commitment to child-centered, Reggio- -inspired pedagogy; value diversity and cross-cultural understanding; and have a clear passion for working with young children. Applicants must possess strong classroom and child management skills in addition to a commitment to professional growth and intellectual curiosity. Our teachers practice a team-based planning and teaching model, and are skilled at documentation and portfolio assessment. Additionally, our teachers possess a warm and loving style with children and have strong inter-personal skills with parents and colleagues.

Tot Lot is a highly-regarded childcare center serving children 15 months to 5 years. We are a family cooperative with a 33-year tradition of providing outstanding early childhood education. Our center is located in a lovely, newly-renovated “green” space in the heart of residential Cambridgeport. It is near public transportation, libraries, and local markets, and surrounded by many friendly parks, which allow for daily child exploration.

Language skills other than English a plus
